The role of polyacrylamide in oil and gas:
1.Improve Oil Recovery: Polyacrylamide as a thickener can increase the viscosity of water and oil. Improving the water-oil flow ratio, to form a high-viscosity oil displacing agent. Promoting the flow of crude oil in oil wells, so that more crude oil is driven out and the recovery rate is increased.
2.In tertiary oil recovery, one of the most widely used applications is ultra-partially hydrolyzed high molecular weight polyacrylamide (HPAM). High-viscosity polyacrylamide (HPAM) solution can improve the oil driving efficiency and reduce the residual oil saturation. 3.Water treatment:  Wastewater generated in the process of oilfield mining (oily wastewater) needs to be treated before discharge or reuse. Polyacrylamide is widely used as a flocculant in oilfield wastewater treatment. It can quickly settle suspended solids and sediments in the water, , reduce the clogging and siltation of oil wells.
