I.PAM Solution Preparation


1.Polyacrylamide selected for the precipitation test,Prepare the appropriate number of labels, beakers, stirrers and other equipment.
2.Take 100ml water in 250ml beaker,numbered and labeled    
3.Slowly add Ag PAM into 100ml water
4.PAM dosing, setting a higher stirring speed (about 3cm deep vortex formation), the PAM slowly shaking into a vortex,So that the polymer particles are sufficiently dispersed.
5.the dissolution process appropriate to reduce the stirring speed to prevent PAM solution   degradation  
6.When the PAM to be completely dissolved,Stop stirring,reserve.


II.Precipitation test


1.Take 100g waste water
2.Measuring sewage PH, add PH adjusting agent to the set new PH value B
3.Dosing PAC C g rapidly stirred suspension system to destabilization, which is just a small floc formation.
4.Adding the same amount of PAM solution to the waste water
5.Set the same stirring rate (100-250r/min) and stirring time, evaluate the effect of different PAM
6.Evaluation:SS/COD/serum amount; settling time/floc moisture/floc size/floc strength; stratification bad
7.Determine the best products through flocculation


III.Determination of the optimal dose


Step as precipitation test 1-3
4.Adding the different amount of PAM solution to the waste water
5.Set the same stirring rate (100-250r/min) and stirring time, evaluate the effect of different PAM
6.Evaluation:SS/COD/serum amount; settling time/floc moisture/floc size/floc strength; stratification bad
7.PAM optimum dosage is determined by precipitation flocculation effect of different doses

Remarks:

1. This experiment can be used measuring cup or graduated cylinder instead of a beaker
2. When cationic PAM, A general take 0.2g; when PAM is an anionic or nonionic, A general take 0.1g
3.B value is generally determined by the nature of water quality and PAM generally adjusted to near neutral
4. When treatment sludge, C generally take 0; when dealing with sewage, C value varies depending on sewage
