Polyacrylamide in coal industry

In coal industry, coal washing wastewater, coal slime water of coal preparation plant and ground flushing wastewater of coal-fired power plant all belong to the mixture of water and coal fines. The main character of this mixture is high turbidity, fine particle size of solid, negative charge on the solid particle, repulsion between negative charge make the particle suspend in water, and under the influence of gravity and Brownian motion. Due to the interaction of solid particle of coal washing wastewater, it makes the property of coal washing wastewater quite complicated, which not only have the property of suspension, but also have the property of colloid.

Due to the reason above, it is quite difficult for coal washing wastewater to naturally clarificate. The sludge supernatant after sediment is black liquid with plenty suspension particle like coal slime. It also contains heavy metal and various additives of coal preparation process.
